Snow and snap peas edible pod are grown on a 24 foot trellis made of three 4 by 8 foot concrete reinforcing wire supported by 6 foot fence posts and held with plastic ties. This system is quick and effective and the spent pea vegetation is easily removed at season’s end.

Nice! This is my first year growing outside of containers. Might have to try this.

Sort of a nice day so planted half a row of sugar snap and half snow peas, both edible pod. Ground temperature is cool for peas at 10C. Recommended is 15C. But the long term forecast starting tomorrow it will be warmer. The soil moisture is excellent.

A 25 foot row of sugar snap and snow peas germinated and are growing well. Half the row was of each type, both edible pod. The ground temperature hovered around about 12C during this growing period.

The row of peas are thriving. It has often been around 5 C and heavy rain.
