    Looking for the Right Shrub

Thanks for responding everyone. I went to the nursery and ended up getting a Strawberry Sundae Hydrangea and Two Sixteen Candles. Had to get something today, so I could do the work this weekend. Perfect weather for working outside too. Thanks again.

    Looking for the Right Shrub

Thanks. I do have one garden center near me, other than Wally World and HD. I just think I could browse and get more info alot quicker online from different stores before going to the ONE place available to me.

    Looking for the Right Shrub

Thank you. I'm mainly wanting some stand alone shrubs that don't spread too wide. Three foot x Three foot would be about perfect. :)

    Looking for the Right Shrub

Thank you for the info. But I didn't get hardly any websites with info about them here in the U.S. More from the UK. Much less anyone who sells them. Does anyone know a reputable online seller here in the states ?

    Looking for the Right Shrub

Can anyone suggest a shrubbery that will only get around 3 foot tall, has a small root system and will thrive in 6b zone with lots of Sun ? I would appreciate any suggestions. Would like to get something by the weekend. Thanks.

    Animals Under the Fence

I'm not a fan of the neighbors cats using my back yard as their bathroom. And would like to keep loose dogs from being able to go under the fence and get at my 2 small children. The highest gap under the fence is only a foot high (not the fence). I don't think a cat will go to the trouble of...

    Animals Under the Fence

I only have trouble with domesticated animals who come in and dig up and use the bathroom. The highest spot is only about a foot, so I don't think any animal will be trying to climb on it. And the fence is vinyl, so I don't think cats will be able to climb it. Squirrels might be able to. I saw...

    Animals Under the Fence

I have some space from the bottom of my fence to the ground. What is the most effective thing to use, that don't look too bad, to cover up the space ?? I was thinking chicken wire.

    Building a New Flower Bed

I thought it was much more difficult than that. I thought I had to remove the grass first. Then dig so deep and lay down fabric for the weeds. Then get me some good soil and then lay edging for the mulch. What type of compost are you referring ? Thanks.

    Building a New Flower Bed

Just wanting to know the best way to build a flower bed from scratch, with mulch on top. My top soil isn't the best. And, after about 2 shovel fulls of dirt, I'm already hitting red clay. :( Thanks.

    Privacy fence

I don't know. I need people to tell me what they've used, and how well it's held up. And how much maintainence it needs.

    Privacy fence

What's a good wood to use. Every wooden fence I see around my place is warping or crumbling. And I don't want pressure treated. Not looking to impress. Just want a sturdy, long lasting privacy fence.

    Mulch

But isn't that better than replacing mulch every year ??
