Hey everyone,
My mother is obsessed with a plant and I wanted to plant it for her for mother's day. I'm unsure whether it is a peony, a rose variety, or something else. Please help!

Yes, a tree peony. The flowers are rather spectacular but only last about 10 days. It's still a pretty plant when it's in leaf. All the leaves drop off in the winter and it just looks like dead sticks but you mustn't cut it down like you do with a normal peony.

I've had this one for years.
