I'm originally from Seattle where I used to keep a rather vibrant flower garden. The mild weather and climate made it a fantastic place to grow just about anything haha. I currently live in the Midwest where the soil is very heavy clay so I'm currently taking care of potted plants. I would like to be able to have a long term garden by improving the soil quality, but since I move quite often, it's more efficient to keep potted plants.

Hi Cereus. Welcome to the forum. I to lived in a area where the soil was good for growing. Now I live in Nevada and the soil is not good here for growing anything other then maybe potatoes and onions. I have just officially decided after discussions with other forum members here that I am going to grow my vegetables in a greenhouse rather then try to get the soil so that things will grow.
