Electric Blue Orchid Care

I love orchids and was given one of those really highly colored varieties. I suspected it had been fed some sort of dye to generate this color and when the spike died the blue dye was coming off in my hand.

I am thinking that in order to get this magnificence next blooming season, I will need to give it something other than the basic fertilizer.

Does anyone have some key instructions as to what the best treatment is for these beauties?
