Breadfruit Salad Anyone?

Have any of you ever tried a bread fruit salad...whenever it's breadfruit season and there is excess on the trees i always opt for making a breadfruit salad...i was a bit sceptic at first as i wasn't sure if my kids would like it but to my delight everyone loved it. It is very tasty and filling; at times i'll have it with bake/barbecue chicken or a slice of fish.

Sounds good, I have never made a salad out it. Can you cook the bread fruit on the grill or is it too soft?

Firelilly it's a green breadfruit you will be using so i don't see why there should be a problem; below is the ingredients i used in my breadfruit salad. I think you should give it a try as it is rather tasty.

5 cups breadfruit, boiled and diced
1 stalk celery
1 tin peas and carrots
3 hard boiled eggs (diced)
1/2 small sweet pepper
2 tbsp onion, grated
1 tsp hot pepper sauce
2 tsp salt or to taste
1 clove garlic garlic, grated
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp mustard
pinch black pepper
