A costal loving umbelifer introduced by the Romans as a pot herb, now widely naturalised around the southern coasts of the UK

Had to look up umbelifer...member of the carrot family. I gather they don't taste like the carrots we're used to (unless you think carrots taste 'orrible.)

Must be related to the popular Golden Alexanders here in the US.

Well now I have a vision in my head of you standing in that field munching on a plant, pulling a disgusted face

I am very envious of that view in the photo - I really miss the coast!

Ta JB :)

Looks more like a Hemp Agrimony with yellow flowers than an Umbellifer, i'd guess Compositae? :)

Crikey! That place just gets bigger and bigger

Reckon it'll cross the bypass soon :cautious: No road accidents in it though, there's so few street markings that everyone goes slow.

Ah, that's interesting to hear. They are looking to introduce something similar around here, and I've been wondering about how effective it would be. I'd be worried about how blind people would navigate their way around, plus it must be quite confusing for kids learning the green cross code.

Don't think it worries the pedestrians too much as everything is travelling slowly, it's not clear who has priority when you get to a junction so no one is taking chances.

I quite like the place, i'll have to stop and take a vid:)
